At Anam I work across frontend, backend, developer experience and the real-time systems underneath, since a live conversation breaks at whichever layer is slowest. A lot of the job is the unglamorous half: what the defaults should be, and whether the call actually starts.

Claude Code with a face and a voice: you speak, an Anam avatar answers, and the terminal output, diffs and tool calls stream beside it. I built the microphone-to-PTY plumbing, the avatar session and the interface. It's an experiment, and the README says so.

Voxtral demo

A voice agent stitched from four services: Deepgram for speech, Mistral Small for reasoning, Mistral's Voxtral for the voice and Anam's Cara 3 for the face, with LiveKit Agents holding the pipeline together. I wrote the agent and the web app, including zero-shot voice cloning from your own microphone.

Writing

Anam's cara-4 model arrived with a wider emotional range and portrait video. I worked on the parts people touch: expressivity controls, previews that show the crop you'll actually get, and a rebuilt Personas experience in Lab. This is the write-up.
